Classic design elements together with modern technology and traditional craftsmanship creates the foundation for the Fouette series. Fouette is lively, light and offers a pleasant moment at a bar counter in a romantic corner café or a brief pause in the middle of hectic office life. Intimate streets of Paris and a spontaneous dance that makes your thoughts fly, have been the core inspiration for designing the Fouette series.
There are two heights available for the Fouette bar stool: 75cm and 65cm. The material is cold drawn steel bar and the frame is hand-bent and welded in our workshop in Helsinki. The stool seat is made from a solid oak board by lathe turning. Each seat is a unique work of art with branch sections and the individual beautiful grain patterns of the wood. The Fouette bar stool comes either in black powder coating or in bright, ageless chrome. The oak seat is waxed in order to tolerate time and wear for years. The feet options for the stool are steel, copper or brass.
Every Fouette stool is serial numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Paja&Bureau is the passion project and dream company of two left-handed designer-makers from Helsinki. Eetu and Nino work with different kinds of metals inspired by the innate and expressive quality of the materials. By fusing experimental techniques, traditional craftsmanship and artistic ambition they stretch the boundaries of the greatly overlooked and understated aspects of steel and other hard substances.
